Question: Why can't I get the shifter to move from Park to drive or reverse. It is a floor shifter. My 2006 Chevrolet Impala won't shift out of Park gear. I turn the key and stepped on the brake like always do, press the button on the shifter and try to move it. It won't budge. The button barely even moves in when I press it.
1st: the radio will not play; It seems there is a loose connection in the speaker wires. The radio is on and it lights up, but the lryics, station and message info comes on. Every once in awhile the radio starts playing for a short time- two to twenty minutes.
2nd: The water temperature gauge and A/C compressor quit working. The weather seems to be a factor when high moisture. I was thinking there may be a terminal connection that could be loose, corroded or both that have all these things in common.
Problem with my 2004 Chevy Impala. Check engine light/Traction Control.New brakes and rotors all around. I got into my car a week ago and turned on the radio after turning on the car and it came on but I have no sound at all. My chimes that indicate low fuel, and seat belts are also affected.
2001 Chevy Impala 3.8 V6. Check engine light. Misfire on cylinder 6. Repairs: Changed plugs wires and coil pack for that cylinder. Also changed air filter.
The engine idles fine but when you try to accelerate it has no power and sputters a lot and will not accelerate also does get somewhat hot and there is the smell of rotten eggs. what is causing this and how do i fix it?
2003 Chevy Impala 3400 V6. I've been hearing a vibrating sound or grinding sound when i first push the gas pedal. it used to happen every once in a while and now its doing it more often. a couple weeks ago i pushed the gas and the grinding sound came on, then the service traction system light stayed on.
Problem with my 2006 Chevrolet Impala LS V6 Service battery charging system. Question: The car would not start or even turn over. I tried battery charger overnight, but it was still showing less than 12 volts although it did start. It is my elderly neighbors car and they insisted that they wanted to go ahead and get a new battery. I got a new battery for them and changed it out.
Question: 2001 Chevy Impala and am having problems with it off and on. It starts with the anti lock brakes activating on there own and sometimes it stops. Other times it will kick on the traction system and the ABS light will come on. You can feel the brakes dragging when it happens. Doesn't happen all the time but seems to be happening more often now. The wheel bearings are tight.
My 2003 Chevy Impala blew oil filter seal. 3400 V6. No work done. car was working perfect.
Changed filter. dropped base pan and looked at oil pump. The oil filter seal blew out. replaced filter and the same thing happened. last oil change was 5000kms ago.seems to be building pressure. seal blows out in about 8 to 10 seconds.

Answer: Well, 2 of the two most common problems are a faulty headlight switch, or a Body Control Module (BCM).
2006 Chevy Impala 3.5v6. Warning lights = Engine oil level low. No external leaks.
Twice the engine oil level low has come on.i use Valvoline 5w-30 full synthetic oil and change oil and filter every 5,000 miles.there are no external leaks. what is causing this problem?
Is the oil level actually low or not?
