I replaced my front drive shaft again and took it for test drive and it snapped again. Started looking and the front differential has moved back. Looks like there is a piece that had been cut off before that holds the differential in place? Any ideas and what it would be called??

Answer: I think we would really need a picture to show what exactly you are talking about.

This sounds like some kind of mount, just like a motor mount. Is the part cut off of the differential or off the frame?

Probably your best bet would be to go to a parts store and get a picture of the front differential to see exactly what is missing.

I can't see any reason why someone would cut something off, so maybe the diff is binding up and that is what caused the mount to break and also the driveshafts.
