Code P0455 2006 chevy monte carlo

i did a tune up on my 2000 grand am pontiac gt ,oil change ,spark plugs and wires ...after that i got the po300 and po402 codes...i can hear the misfire on cilinders 1,3,5..so far i replaced map sensor and ignition coil packs...i didnt have this codes before the tune up..any ideas ?

Yes, P0302 is a misfire on cylinder #2. P0404 is an EGR valve flow problem.

If the misfire code was not there before the tune up, you may have cracked that spark plug. Remove it and look real close at the white porcelain part for a crack. Or just replace it.

The EGR problem is probably just coincidence. The 3400 V6 had a problem with the passage between the EGR valve and the inside of the throttle getting full of carbon. Remove the valve, use a stiff piece of wire a clean out the passage.

I have a code of p4055 on my 2006 monte carlo. Its been thru 2 smoke tests and the mechanics tried to tell me they didnt no what it was but found other things not even related to the code.I have replaced the gas cap and purge valve. Any common problems?

Code P0455 is a large EVAP system leak. You say the purge valve was replaced. Are you sure. The purge valve is on the engine. This is not the same as the EVAP vent solenoid / valve. That is back by the gas tank. The vent solenoid is the most common cause of a P0455 on your Chevy Monte Carlo. Get that replaced and clear the codes and your car will be all fixed.

Thks so much for your help. We changed the vent valve solenoid had it scanned and it passed yesterday.
