Jeep Shifter is in park car in neutral

Jeep Shifter is in park car in neutral

Jeep wrangler 2007 I put car in drive but stayed in neutral moved shifter back to park but car stayed in neutral and now shifter won't move Car is still in neutral.

Either the shift cable in your Jeep is broke, loose on the shifter or loose on the transmission end.

This is what just happened to my Jeep today. I hope it doesn't cost to much to fix it I am in a bind. But it is sitting it a Walmart parking lot today and will move it tonight to mechanic.

If the shift cable broke, it will not be too expensive.
