1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
I replaced wheel cylinders in rear brakes moved star adjuster to fully closed had a hard time getting drums back on and now rear brakes seem to be applied when trying to go forward or back how can i relieve pressure ?

Answer: On the back side of these drum brakes, there should be a rubber plug. It is about 2 inches long. Pull that out and you will have access to the adjuster star wheel. You can then loosen it to help get the drum off. If your does not have that, you are going to have to pound it off with a hammer from the back side. Use a screw driver between the drum and backing plate opposite side of the hammer and start working it of little by little.
